Basic Obedience

If you have a dog with a behavior issue or just needs to learn some manners, look no further! Palm Springs Dog Training will customize a Desert dog training program just for you! We understand that every dog is different, which is why we customize our dog training programs to fit the individual needs of the dogs AND their humans.

Palm Springs Dog Trainer, Brooke Fagel, wants to ease your mind by offering the Canine Basics and Canine Advanced training programs. Using positive, reward-based methods, Brooke will not only teach your dog how to behave properly, but also show you how to effectively create a consistent structure that your dog can succeed.

The focus is on teaching basic dog obedience cues such as sit, down, stay (sit and down), recall or "come", loose-leash walking, waiting at the door, off, and "leave-it". We utilize treats and praise to help the dogs learn in the fastest and most positive way. If you and your pet attend weekly sessions and practice 30 minutes per day, your dog should be proficient at basic commands within 8 weeks.

Palm Springs Dog Training offers an in-depth puppy training program to give you and your puppy all the information you need to have a balanced life together. Our puppy lessons are designed to help puppy parents introduce their pups to all they'll need to know to develop happy, mannerly, well-socialized adult dogs and to make the most of each pup's potential.
Our approach is gentle, effective, enjoyable, and designed to be daily mastered by all members of the family, youngsters included. Training is decidedly “dog-friendly" in its endeavor to teach young pups not only what we want them to do, but to want to do what we want. The puppy course is divided into two parts to most effectively meet your goals. Some of the topics addressed for puppies are:

Behavior Rehabilitation Program

Reactivity can be a very scary issue. Most people with a reactive dog live in fear of what they might do next… “Will they bite another dog? Will they lunge at the neighbor? Will they guard their food today?” PS Dog Training specializes in resolving dog behavior issues, and this of course includes reactive dog behavior!

We successfully work with dogs that suffer from all forms of behavior issues including:

All forms of reactivity are serious and should be treated that way, but it’s also important to realize that dogs who suffer from reactivity issues are generally not “happy” either. They are commonly frustrated, fearful, or anxious, and these feelings lead to the reactivity behavior. Our Palm Springs aggressive dog training programs will help your dog to relax, and show him how to make better behavior choices.

Once training starts, we are even available in between lessons and after the conclusion of training if you have any questions or any concerns along the way. You may change your reservation for any training appointment (day training, private training, or service dog training) up to 24 hours prior to your lesson. The full session fee will apply for any changes with less than 24 hours notice. Training appointments must be scheduled within six months of purchase.
